9 Years in the Making
The Picture that Started it All
On March 25th, 2015, Tanya posted this picture on social media not knowing that Vishnu would see it and try to figure out who the cutie in green is. Vish finds her on FB and realizes she goes to a different campus, and he hopes he'll have a reason to meet her soon.
Vish Makes his way to UWB
A month later, Vish visits UWB (Tanya's campus) as he is looking into transferring campuses for business school. Vish and Tanya end up crossing paths while he's visiting but Vish was too nervous to even speak to her.

Fun Fact: Vish was going to Subway, while Tanya was going to the library and they had a DDLJ moment. They turned and looked at each other and life froze for a moment. They still talk about it, and how it meant something - these kids just didn't know what.
Friendship
Contrary to the first interaction, Vish and Tanya started seeing each other more often through friends, and connected pretty quickly.
Vish added Tanya on FB, and Tanya sent a quick message about an event the night before. Vish loves to state that Tanya slide in his DM's (eye roll), but sweet innocent Tanya was just giving Vish some insight on an event he couldn't attend.
Whatever the case, Tanya & Vish became besties pretty quick.

Dating
Tanya's mom called this phase: "Their very, very, very, very, very good friends phase"
I guess not much to it. These two dated and were young, dumb, and in love through college. They went through their most of their vulnerable years together. They helped figure out what they wanted their futures to be, what their passions were, and ended their teenage years together.
Long Distance
Tanya gets a job and moves to Washington D.C. for a few years. Vish was extremely supportive and knew this would be best for her career. Vish also starts a career in accounting in downtown Seattle. They did have some notable long distance dates like synchronized Netflix movies, cooking through FaceTime, and playing lots games. Unfortunately, with these new lifestyles, Vish and Tanya mutually decide their respective careers may take priority for a bit.
2020
2020 was a crazy year for all. Tanya ended up moving back home to Bothell and Vish, Tanya, Varun, and Mudit became inseparable. This group worked out, tie dyed, baked, adopted a furry best friend, and did all the 6 feet apart friendly activities together. Tanya and Vish got to rekindle their bond and became best friends all over again.

Tanya & Vish Become Very, Very, Very, Very, (very) Good Friends Again
2 years later, Vish and Tanya decide to stop fighting fate. They are besties, lovers, and their relationship defines what they want in a longtime partner. Vish drives up to Bothell, takes Tanya to McMenamins, orders some chicken wings, and asks Tanya out on an official date. Their first date "PT. 2" is mini golfing in Bellevue, WA. On August 5th, 2021, Vish took Tanya to ice cream and asked her to be his girlfriend/very very very good friend.
We're Getting Married!
On August 12th, 2023, Vish took Tanya out to Pecado Bueno for nachos (iykyk) and then for a walk in their favorite park. This park was where these two love birds first said I love you, made up after their first big fight, and had some of their most memorable moments. Vish had rose petals all over a bridge in the park, with old photos from 2015-2018, that Tanya had imagined were forever gone! The rest is history and we can't wait to cement our marriage with all of you in November!
